Marissa Sweets and Delicacies is a family owned business established eight years ago, manufacturing fresh pastillas from pure carabao’s milk. The name “Marissa” is from the owner’s mother’s first name. The business is located in 579 Sitio Batuhan, Buliran, San Miguel, Bulacan. The former name of the business is “ Ric-Mar Sweets”. In the year 2013, her mother transferred the full ownership to her, because they are getting old and needs to continue the business. The owner, Maricar Ausan decided to change the name of their business after her mother, Marissa. Because she is the one who put up and start up the Pastillas business. At present, Marissa Sweets have more manpower and better facilities. Their products have more varieties and they still supply stores in Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac and Metro Manila.
